New Year’s Eve Parties!
Skate Ranch and Skate-O-Rama will each be hosting New Year’s Eve parties this year! It’s an annual tradition in Lufkin, and our 1st annual in Nacogdoches! Please, make sure to check the time for your location choice!
Fun will be had by all! Door prizes, Dash-For-Cash, are just a couple of the games and prizes at each event. Countdown to the new year with us! $12 admission gets you in.
Skate-O-Rama’s festivities will begin at 7:30pm and last until 12:30am. Everyone pays admission except parents joining their kids.
Skate Ranch kicks off the night at 7:00pm, and lasts all the way until 1:00am. Everyone pays admission except parents joining their kids.
1st Annual Pajama Jam!
Come Pajama Jam on Friday, December 12th from 6:00-10:00pm! Skate Ranch is hosting a fun night filled with games, prizes, and, of course, a Best & Worst pajama contest! Open to all ages, tall or small, big or little! Admission is $7 and each guest will get FREE popcorn! 
BQJ FUNdraiser
Join Skate-O-Rama and BQJ Thursday, Nov. 13th from 6:00-8:00pm. We’re have a FUNdaiser!
Thanksgiving Break Skate
School’s out, let’s skate! Skate Ranch & Skate-O-Rama will be open Wednesday, Nov. 26th and Friday, Nov. 28th from 12:00-4:00pm. Admission will be $5, but it’s a twofer! 2 for 1 admission! No Passes/Coupons accepted. One paid admission receives one free admission.

We live in an electronic era and internet is a huge part of it. You asked and we answered “Yes!” to FREE Wi-Fi! For those parents that want to come in an relax at a table while their kids burn off some energy, or students who need to study, and anyone who needs to catch up on work, we have you covered.
Wellll, Hello New Lobby!
Phase one of the lobby make-over is complete. Officially the walls have been changed to Golden Butter yellow, but we just call it a ray of sunshine! You can also get a feel for what the future look is at Skate Ranch. Phase two you ask? We’re installing an “In” AND an “Out” door inside the lobby!
You can never get enough new music!
Recently we ended our long-term relationship with the CD. Getting a CD once a month with, hopefully, the newest music that everyone wanted but was never on the disc, was always a letdown! Our new music system is internet based and has every genre imaginable. You want Michael Jackson for your next throw-back party? We have that. Christian music, yesterday’s country, 80’s hair band? We have that too! Gone are the days of waiting, crossing your fingers, and wishing for the hottest music to arrive. It’s updated every day!
MTV doesn’t play music videos anymore, but we do!
Who remembers when music videos were on the screen at Skate Ranch? Well, they’re back! We’ve teamed up with a program called MOM Approved. If your Mom wouldn’t approve, neither would we and that video isn’t played at Skate Ranch. Our screen is 12’ x 8’ and firmly mounted skate floor center. Come and check it out, just remember to take your eyes off the screen long enough see where you’re rolling!
2014 marks the 40th anniversary of Skate Ranch. We’ve survived all the ups and downs that touched society since 1974. So many of the current parents and grandparents we see today were our regular, weekly skaters for years after our doors opened.
Since our family purchased the Skate Ranch two years ago from James & Lola Stover, a.k.a. Granny and PaPaw, we’ve been putting together a plan for changes. We listen to our customer’s feedback and opinions, they’re the driving force behind our mission. Not every suggestion is possible, but we strive to keep Skate Ranch a family friendly environment that’s fun for everyone. Changes are scary, but bell bottoms and butterfly collars went out of style for a reason!
More changes on the way at Skate Ranch! With the help, support, and suggestions from our loyal Skate Ranch skaters and their families we will continue to roller skate in Lufkin for another 40+ years.
October Awesome!
Mark your calendars because October has awesome events going on and they all include dressing up in costume!
A.C. Speaks! FUNdraiser 
Skate Ranch is hosting the annual fundraiser on October 12th from 6:00-8:00pm. Come out and support several non-profit organizations including Operation Christmas Child, Seasons of Hope, Joseph House, and more! Costumes are encouraged, you can even win a door prize! Silent auction, face painting, games and races are just a few of the fun activities for the night. These are great causes to help while kicking off the giving season. Admission is $10 for skaters, which includes rentals, and $5 for non-skaters.
Skate-O-Rama Halloween Festival
Since Scare on the Square is no longer, we’ve been invited to participate in another Halloween festival event on October 31st, 5:30-7:30pm. You can find us, and numerous other local businesses, at the corner of University and Main St. in Nacogdoches. We’re teaming up with the local martial arts studio and having our own Halloween Hometown Festival! Come one, come all! Play games, win candy and prizes!
Skate Ranch Zombie Halloween Late Skate
After you’ve collected all the candy you can outdoors, come inside at Skate Ranch! We’ll be open until from 6:00pm – 12:00am for those who like to celebrate into the wee hours. Admission until 10:00pm is $7, if you want to stay late it’s only $5 more!. Who wants to take their costumes off at 6:00pm?! We don’t! Enjoy Halloween themed games like Candy Scramble, win a chance on the Prize Wheel, or maybe the best costume contest? Open to all ages, young at heart, and those of us who just love Halloween(and candy).
Halloween Party Part Deux
For all our ‘lil skaters who couldn’t stay up too late on Halloween night, Skate Ranch is hosting an afternoon shindig, too! Technically it’s November 1st for this party, but we’re doing it anyway. You can find it at Skate Ranch in Lufkin from 12:30-5:00pm, admission is $5. Wear your costumes, get as much use out of them as you can! All the kiddos can take part in another round of candy scramble, Halloween treats and games.
Zombie Late Skate
Calling all zombies! Skate Ranch needs to round them up on Halloween from 6:00pm-12:00am. Our late skate will be held on October 31st and is open to ghouls and goblins of all ages. Play some zombie games and win some scary prizes! Admission until 10pm is $7, if you dare to stay until midnight entry is $12. 
East Texas Bombers Derby Rec League
Have you’ve ever thought about participating in ROLLER DERBY? Here’s your chance to test the waters!
- Skate Ranch in Lufkin is the place to meet.
- Every Thursday night from 7:00-9:00pm local ladies are getting their roller derby workout. No commitments needed, but roller derby might be the newest, hottest workout around!
- In all seriousness, this is a real practice, you will be required to wear a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards and a mouth guard. There are a few extras to share, except the mouth guards.
- You can rent skates at the rink for $3, if you like it you can purchase your own gear.
- All skill levels are welcome and encouraged, many of us haven’t skated since we were 7, but that’s okay!
